DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN A FIRE AFFECTED AREA TO BE A FIREFOX?

FIREFOXES is open to everyone who has felt the affects of Black Saturday or experienced any form or tragedy or trauma.

 

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND ANY OR ALL OF THE GET TOGETHERS?

The beauty of FIREFOXES events is you pick and choose what you want to be apart of. There is no pressure or need to RSVP unless specified.( some events require catering needs)

 

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?

All ages are encouraged and the more the merrier! We have several children friendly events too.

 

WHAT ABOUT THE MEN?

We have plenty of events that are family friendly and lots of men support those. We also recognise the need for and strength in running some get togethersfor women only. We also believe that in looking after the women we inturn, look after the rest of the community.

 

IS THERE A COST TO BE A MEMBER?

The Victorian Honor Roll of Women 2010, the 10th Anniversary. The Victorian Honor Roll is open to all Victorian women who have contributed to changes in their community or a particular field of endeavor, in Victoria, Australia and internationally. A nomination has been put forward for All Women engaged in 2009 Bushfire Recovery Efforts. The new 2010 recipients will be announced at a cocktail presentation at the National Gallery o Victoria. This will be done in the week leading up to International Women’s Day on 8 March 2010. 2009’s inductee was Rowena Allen, an inspiring woman who helped launch FIREFOXES.
